Yunnan Menglian 1650m Little Strawberry | 25/26 New Crop Fully Ripe Light Fermentation Natural

Light-Medium Roast × Strawberry・Raspberry・Sweet Apricot・Plum Wine・Tropical Juice

A border high mountain story bean! Carefully selected by a Hong Kong brand, a super juicy berry bomb~

In Menglian, a small border town in the southwesternmost part of Yunnan, China, nestled at 1650m in the mountains bordering Myanmar, coffee farms are hidden among primeval forests and layers of mountains. Local Lahu, Dai, and Wa farmers have guarded this land for generations, insisting on picking only the ripest red cherries (only fully red cherries are picked), and then processing them with light fermentation natural drying, allowing the pectin to slowly release sugars and aromas. The Catimor varietal has been redefined in the Yunnan highlands: originally disease-resistant and high-yielding, here it encounters cool nights and ample sunshine, its flavor becoming exceptionally bright and fresh, like a surprise carried by the border mountain breeze.

This bean is affectionately known in coffee circles as "Little Strawberry," because the moment it’s brewed, it really is like biting into a fresh strawberry – a burst of juice, sweet with a touch of acidity, followed by layers of raspberry, sweet apricot, and plum wine aromas, with a lingering refreshing finish of tropical juice. As a Hong Kong brand, Nok Bay Coffee specifically selected this new crop to bring the purity and perseverance of Yunnan's high mountains to every Hong Kong coffee lover's cup, making a cup of coffee not just thirst-quenching, but also a small journey to the borderlands.

Flavor Highlights

First Notes: Explosive and juicy mouthfeel of fresh strawberry, raspberry, and tropical juice

Mid Notes: Gentle layers and alcoholic aroma of sweet apricot and plum wine

Finish: Refreshing fruit acidity + persistent sweetness, like drinking a high-sweetness berry special, more pronounced when cooled

  Country: China

  Region: Pu'er, Menglian, Yunnan

  Altitude: 1650m

  Varietal: Catimor

Processing Method: Light Fermentation Natural / Sun-dried

  Moisture: 11.5%

  New Crop: 25/26

Recommended Roast: Light-Medium Roast – preserves fruit acidity brightness and sweetness, avoids over-roasting that suppresses berry flavors

Small Tips: For light-medium roasts, we recommend a thorough bloom (30-40 seconds) and water temperature not exceeding 92°C to maximize the vibrancy of strawberry and raspberry!
