Ethiopia Sidamo Bensa: ALO Coffee - Morke Station (G1)

【Extreme High Altitude · 16-Day Shade Dried Honey Process】

ALO Coffee is a benchmark specialty project founded by Tamiru Tadesse in the town of Bensa, Sidamo. This batch comes from Morke Station, collecting single varietal 74158 coffee cherries grown at altitudes as high as 2300-2380 meters. Through a very rare shade-dried slow-drying technique, fermentation and dehydration are conducted over 15-30 days in a low-temperature controlled environment, perfectly locking in the extreme cleanliness and fruit-bomb flavors of the 74158 varietal.

💡 Nok Bay Coffee Shop Owner's Professional Tasting Notes:

This ALO Morke is our most anticipated air-freighted batch for the 2026 season.

Why is it special? The key lies in "low temperature and slow processing." Drying in a shaded, low-temperature (10-14°C) indoor environment prevents excessive fermentation flavors caused by high heat, preserving extremely distinct peach and pineapple aromas.

Taste Experience: Upon entry, there's a clear stone fruit sweetness, transitioning to a burst of tropical fruits in the mid-palate, and finishing with a gentle oolong tea note. Its clarity is exceptionally rare among honey-processed beans.
