The Volcán Barú region of Panama is a top-tier specialty coffee producing area globally. Its unique microclimate and volcanic soil cultivate many astonishing coffee flavors. Coffee beans meticulously tended by local "smallholders" often exhibit extremely high levels of craftsmanship and unique artisanal flavors.

1. Unique Terroir

Volcán Barú is the highest peak in Panama (approximately 3,474 meters above sea level), and coffee is primarily grown on mountain slopes at altitudes ranging from 1,400 to 2,200 meters.

Volcanic Ash Soil: Fertile volcanic soil is rich in minerals and has excellent drainage, providing ample nutrients for coffee trees.

Microclimate and "Bajareque": Air currents from the Pacific and Atlantic oceans converge here, creating a unique microclimate. A fine drizzle known as Bajareque (often accompanied by rainbows) is common, and along with significant diurnal temperature variations, it allows coffee cherries to ripen slowly, accumulating denser and more complex sugars and acidity.

🌟 Why is it worth trying?

1. Essence of Volcanic Strata

Volcán Barú is not only Panama's highest peak, but its volcanic ash and mineral-rich soil provide excellent trace elements for coffee beans. Geisha coffee grown here not only has a more distinctive flavor but is also rare and precious due to its limited yield.

2. Classic Dialogue between Geisha and Natural Process

The Geisha variety is renowned for its elegant jasmine aroma and tea-like qualities. Lot N27 uses traditional natural processing, allowing the coffee cherries to fully absorb pectin sugars during drying. This adds a layer of rich sweetness, reminiscent of tropical dried fruit, and a silky mouthfeel to the inherently pure floral base, creating incredibly rich layers of flavor.

3. Selected Smallholder Series

This lot comes from a smallholder cooperative in the Volcán Barú region, emphasizing respect for the land and meticulous hand-picking. Each fully ripe, red cherry is strictly selected, ensuring that every cup of coffee you enjoy is a crystallization of this land and artisanal skill.
