🍃 Cupping Notes
Green Tea・Citrus・Peach・Honey
Volcán Barú National Park in Panama is an ecological protected area. Early volcanic activity and eruptions created abundant and fertile soil from sedimentary materials, with volcanic ash rich in phosphorus and sulfur.
The region boasts 7 microclimates, and with year-round mist and abundant rainfall, it provides excellent growing conditions. Around 50 coffee farmers here form a small cooperative. During harvest season, they use traditional methods to process coffee cherries. Although the yield is not high, it ensures quality and maintains the ecological environment.
🌟 Why is it worth trying?
1. Volcán Barú's Exceptional Terroir
Volcán Barú has unique microclimates, fertile volcanic soil, and suitable cloud cover, providing the perfect growing environment for Geisha coffee. Lot N13 embodies the essence of the region's terroir, offering a rich and stable layered flavor.
2. Elegant Interpretation of Traditional Washed Processing
Among the various processing methods for Geisha, "traditional washed" best showcases its inherent delicacy and clarity. Lot N13, with its medium roast, gently releases a green tea-like elegance, combined with the soft sweetness of peach, resulting in a clean and drinkable cup.
3. Excellent Flavor Balance
This coffee perfectly demonstrates the "elegant sweetness" of Geisha: a refreshing green tea sensation on entry, followed by bright citrus acidity and the sweet richness of peach, finishing with a honey-like lingering sweetness. Whether for daily pour-over or delicate tasting, its extraordinary quality can be appreciated.
💡 Brewing Suggestions
To highlight the balance and tea-like notes of Lot N13 medium roast Geisha, we recommend:
Equipment: Pour-over dripper (such as V60) or Clever Dripper.
Water Temperature: Use hot water at 90°C - 92°C.
Taste: Enjoy when the coffee has cooled slightly to best capture the intertwined aromas of peach and honey.
